But she's too scary for me. I prefer Dorothy Malone, the bookstore dame. When she takes her glasses off, closes the shop, and pours drinks for her and Marlowe...yikes! If I were him, I would have dumped the case right there, and spent the next few years getting to the bottom of Dorothy's feminine mysteries. But happy endings make for short and boring movies.
What about Lauren Bacall, you ask? Well, in this movie she plays a total creep...what Marlowe sees in her is beyond me. It's completely unbelievable that they end up together.
So there's this game. It's a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad game and I would never play it.
